Education Outside of the Classroom

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST

Welcome to the Limitless Podcast my name is Radhika and I’m the founder of Jiva More Life. Our mission is to inspire you to believe that you are limitless. Today we will be talking about learning after college.

How do you educate yourself once you get out of college?

I think education is so much bigger than just what you learn at school and in the classroom. It’s everything around you - it’s what you’re watching, what you’re reading, who you’re talking to, and what you’re talking to them about.

There’s also so many ways to learn. First, books are a great way to learn and many are now audiobooks so you can listen while you’re driving, while you’re walking, or while you’re working out, and you’re also learning at the same time. You can still physically read books which is amazing and a lot of fun too.

Another great tool that I use is YouTube or TikTok. I feel like I learn so much every single day just by scrolling. Obviously, not all of my scrolling time is learning, but I definitely feel like a lot of it is. I follow artists where I learn new techniques on how to paint. I also follow business people and I learn how I can run my business better. I even follow people who workout so I can see how I can workout, become stronger, and even organize my life better. Anything that I’m interested in, I follow those types of accounts on TikTok because I know I can learn from the other creators on there. I also really believe that you can learn from every single source.

I want you to try this, the next time you talk to one of your friends, if there’s something you’re interested in that they know about, ask them about that. Don’t ask them about how their day was, ask them about that topic, and I bet they would love to share because they have that knowledge and they love it so they’d love to tell you about it. Then you can learn from them. I really think knowledge comes from everywhere around you. You just have to be looking for it, open to learning and really ready to absorb that information and then do something with it.
