Welcome back to The Limitless Blog. I'm your host Radhika, and also the founder of Jiva More Life. Our mission is to inspire you to believe that you are limitless.

 

What is the expectation of those involved with Jiva?

I'm really looking for three things, accountability, communication, and passion. You have to have passion when you're building a startup because you're building something from nothing. Since you’re building from the ground up, you have to be passionate about the brand, and about the message. You have to inspire people if you're a part of Jiva More Life, you want them to believe that they are limitless, that they can do anything and that they can go after their dreams. That’s why someone with passion is really important to me.

 

The second is communication. For example, being on top of what’s happening, what you're doing, and keeping everyone in the loop. If something does go wrong or you have to change your plans, or you're not able to do something, communicating that as well, because there are so many moving pieces and not many people to do it all. Everyone is trying to balance 5 to 10 things at the same time. That’s why it’s so important to have to have really good communication with everyone on the team to explain what you're doing and where you're at very quickly. The other thing with communication though, is your ideas. You have to be able to communicate if you have good ideas, or if you have an idea like this might just be crazy enough to work. Or if you've seen something that works really well, communicate that, and if something doesn't work well, communicate that as well, because we're all here to build the brand and make it better.

 

The third thing is accountability. When you say you're going to do something, do it. And if you can't, that's where the communication piece comes in. You have to let everyone know as soon as possible so somebody else can do that work. Accountability is huge because everyone has 10 jobs so everyone is trying to juggle so many things that is really hard to pick up a ball as it's falling. You want to make sure you know your schedule and you know how much work you can take without over committing yourself.

 

That's why I'm really looking for people who are accountable, have great communication and are passionate about the brand and spreading the you are limitless message.
